Looking for a fun place to go snow tubing in Pigeon Forge? Rowdy Bear’s Smoky Mountain SnowPark is the ultimate attraction for year-round outdoor tubing, as well as other family-friendly activities such as a mountain coaster, alpine flyer, axe-throwing, and more! They make their own real snow in the winter, so you should definitely add this winter activity to your vacation itinerary. Read on for some things you should know about Rowdy Bear snow tubing and what to expect!
1. Longest Outdoor Tubing Hill in Tennessee
This tubing hill is over 500 feet long (to compare, a football field is only 360 feet long!), making it the largest outdoor tubing hill in the state. With multiple tubing lanes and a stomach-plunging 70-foot drop, this tubing experience is unlike any other. During the winter, they use state-of-the-art snowmaking machines to produce genuine snow that’s edible with no chemicals added! Plus, you can take the Magic Carpet Conveyor up to the top of Rowdy Bear Ridge, offering incredible views from the top and then exhilarating thrills all the way down. No long trek back up to the top required! And the best part is– you can experience Rowdy Bear’s tubing hill all year long; it’s just as fun during the spring, summer, and fall even without the snow!
2. Snow Tubing Requirements
Visitors must be 40 inches tall to participate and 47 inches tall to tube by themselves. Those between 40-47 inches must tube with another person over the age of 18 in a connected tube (no lap riding permitted). Double-connected tubes are available for anyone, so you can enjoy racing someone in the lane next to you and ride solo or connect with friends and family for a doubles race! Although this isn’t technically a requirement for snow tubing, we think visiting the Sugar Bear’s Cafe and Creamery after you’re done tubing should be required! Warm up with a hot chocolate or enjoy one of their ice cream creations, baked goods, or other food options as a treat to end your fun day at Rowdy Bear in Pigeon Forge TN.
3. Snow Tubing Tickets
Snow tubing sessions are 90 minutes long, and the tubing hill is open 365 days a year. Snow tubing tickets in particular tend to sell out quickly during the holidays, so we highly recommend booking in advance to secure your preferred date and time. Rowdy Bear snow tubing tickets are nonrefundable unless tubing has been canceled due to extreme weather conditions; however, tubing sessions are rarely canceled and continue during rain, snow, sleet, or shine.
